Isolated Wall Systems

A complete third party approved engineered system for the seismic restraint of pipework, ductwork and non-structural elements. Independently certified for use in seismic areas.Cable braces are designed so when they are installed with sufficient slack they do not interfere with neoprene or spring isolator function but effectively control movement, preventing equipment detachment and excessive damage.

Isolated Wall Systems

To complete an envelope, secondary walls must be introduced. The problem is simpler, because the walls normally support only their own weight and they need not have the structural strength of the floor.
The best approach is resting these walls on the perimeter of the floating floor so the floor isolation system serves the walls as well. If this is not possible, the second choice is supporting the isolated wall on the structural slab with continuous LDS pads, and providing a caulked seal between the floor and the wall.

We have developed systems for specifically isolating wall systems.

NPS – 2-piece Low Dynamic Stiffness (LDS) partition supports. Used for isolated steel stud framing at the head or base. Used in conjunction with Mason Super/Mini Waffle isolation pads.

DNSB-A – For use in isolating lightweight walls supported by structural walls in a vertical plane. Perfect for large height walls.

WIC – A simple neoprene Isolator used to isolate floating walls.
